Almost Done ...

Today I finally finished Charlise's crib set. I used a pattern out of Amy Butler's "Little Stitches", and I love it. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Now we'll just have to see how sturdy it is ... {crossing fingers}.
I wanted it to match the quilt my mom made for her (which I forgot to take a picture of. This quilt is the one I made out of the scrap fabric left from my mom's quilt). I didn't find the exact fabric I wanted ... until I was all done (of course). I got a yard of it, though, and I plan on making a pillow or something out of it ... which is why I titled this post "almost done".
A view of one of the pockets.
Oh ... there's the quilt my mom made! Guess I did take a picture!

The pattern said to make the ties out of fabric, but I decided that ribbon would be cuter ... so that's what I did!
Now all I need to do is paint the crib black! ;)

  2. It turned out totally cute. The pockets are really a good idea, I have never seen bumpers like that. And I love the fabric you picked, it is so not little baby, totally chic.

  4. This is adorable! Turned out great!
The fabrics are adorable, your craftmanship is perfect, and I love those pockets. What a GREAT idea!
did you use one of those pre-made foam fillers for the bumper pad? I've yet to try that. Yours looks so perfect.

  5. Um, this is the 2nd time I've looked at your blog today. Everything you do is so cute. I love the bumper pockets, too! What a great idea. The doll in the crib looks like one that was featured on Martha Stuart awhile back. They're sold on Etsy but the girl shows how to make them too. Did you make yours?
